This past weekend was an amazing one for this fashionista! I attended two events, one in which my dearest friend John Ashford of Authentic by John Ashford Shoes was featuring his designs from the John Ashford Art of the Shoe Show sponsored by Who Wore That Magazine and Huberts Lemonade. His often colorful, sometimes seriously sexy, and at times unbelievably amazing shoes are really a sight to see…really – you’ve got to have a look at them. Wait, what am I saying? Ladies, you have to own a few of his shoes. They’re handmade plus they’re amazing and he only makes them custom so no two pairs are alike…I like that! I already own a couple from his exclusive collection and the fashionista in me is loving his designs. Don’t wait – get a pair, or two, now!
For the second event of my day, I met the lovely Martu E. Freeman – Parker owner and founder of M.E.F Style Report and she really kicked it up a notch for me. She invited me to Style Fashion Week at Gotham Hall and I couldn’t have been more happier to attend. I was right there happily holding my camera in hand, ready to get my much awaited fill of a fashionista’s dream. The moment was exciting and the event was fabulous.
The designers that had their collections featured were: Quynh Paris, Esosa, Santa Clara Moda, Chrisber’y, and Anthony Rubio. The show was amazing and the models looked beautiful. The designs were stunning and featured beautiful colorful, flowery headpieces, flowy dresses in stunning, vibrant, colors and there were even beautiful bridal dresses that were fit for a few goddesses. Oh and I met and took a picture with a celebrity from Project Runway – how cool is that!
Between the anticipation of seeing what shoes Mr. John Ashford had designed for the event and the fashion show I attended, I have to admit it was overwhelming but it felt great to be available to experience these moments. The events were successful and I got to meet some amazing people along the way. I’m always grateful to meet such talented individuals at these events that can inspire me in any way. Can’t wait till the next one – check out the pics of the events below! Thank you, I appreciate you all!
Well, there it is – my experience at fashion week and then some. On to the next one….I’m so excited!
